How it Works
- The Workplace Mediation Assessment process starts when a manager identifies a performance or inter-personal relationship problem with a particular employee.
- The manager contacts WSM to set up the Workplace Mediation Assessment.
- The manager simultaneously informs the employee that an independent assessor is to be brought in and gives the employee a written description of the process (prepared by WSM).
- The WSM occupational psychologist first meets with manager who has the performance or inter-personal relationship problem with the employee.
- The occupational psychologist then meets with the employee to conduct an in-depth and structured assessment to understand their concerns and view of the situation.
- The occupational psychologist will then meet briefly with the manager again for a short de-brief and initial summary.
- WSM will then produce a thorough and comprehensive written report of the Workplace Mediation Assessment process, that will include practical and realistic recommendations and suggestions for reasonable adjustments that will lead to a resolution or a partial resolution of the problems raised.
Training
WSM can provide managers with a Workplace Mediation Assessment information pack, that identifies the problems and issues that can be tackled using this process. Training for managers can also be provided.
